This contract is between you and Eastgate Cottages (referred to as "we" or "us")
for the provision of holiday accommodation. We reserve the right to refuse any booking
without giving a reason. Your statutory rights are not affected by anything contained
in these terms and conditions.
The Cottages
Our cottages are privately owned and we pride ourselves on the quality and standard
we achieve. In the event that something is not exactly as expected or missing then
please let us know and we will try and resolve it. Should you have cause to complain
please let us know as soon as possible. We will do our utmost to resolve the problem.
The reservation extends from 2pm on the day of arrival. During off peak times cottages
will often be available earlier. (Please check). Departure time is 10am on the day
of departure unless otherwise agreed.
Payment
For booking made more than two months prior to arrival; a deposit of one third of
the total rental is payable to secure the booking and the balancing sum is due for
payment one calendar month before the date of the holiday.
For booking made less than two months prior to arrival; the full rental amount is
payable to secure the booking.
Please make cheques payable to Eastgate Cottages Ltd. We accept credit and
debit cards. When paying by credit card, the full amount is payable at the time
of booking.
Your Obligations
Damage and breakages arising during your holiday must be notified to us. Any serious
damage or breakage will be charged at the cost of replacement.
Dogs are allowed in certain cottages. Small or medium sized well behaved dogs are
welcome at Eastgate Cottages, you must however take full responsibility for the
animal and they must not be left unattended in the Cottages.
Only the number of people detailed on the booking form will be entitled to occupy
the cottages.
You are responsible for the insurance of your personal property whilst you are staying
with us; please ensure that you are adequately insured especially for valuables.
You are given a key for the Cottage; it is your responsibility to keep the cottage
safe and secure.
Car Parking
Adequate off road parking is available on-site. We do not accept responsibility
for any loss or theft of or from a vehicle howsoever caused. All vehicles are parked
at own risk.
Cancellation
If you have made a booking for the next calendar year then the deposit will be refunded
should you cancel your holiday prior to 1st January as long as your arrival date
is at least 90 days from the date you cancel. In all other circumstances your deposit
is non-refundable. Should you cancel your holiday within four weeks of your holiday
commencing then the full balance is non-refundable. You should consider holiday
insurance; we can send you details on request.
If for any reason beyond our control (e.g. fire, storm damage, sale or withdrawal
of the property by the owner) the property is not available on the date booked we
will use best endeavours to provide alternative accommodation or if not suitable
a full refund will be made.
Insurance
We recommend that you take out insurance to protect you against any losses. We can
arrange insurance for you, details of which can be provided on request. If you wish
to take out insurance, you need to confirm this when booking and pay the relevant
fee. Any claim under the insurance must be notified to us as soon as possible in
writing; however, your rights under such insurance shall not be against us, but
the insurer.
